SME and Stratasys Announce Winners of 2025 SkillsUSA Additive Manufacturing Competition

SME and Stratasys announced on June 30, 2025, the winners of their co-sponsored 2025 Additive Manufacturing Competition, held as part of the 61st annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference. This marks the 12th anniversary of the competition.

The competition educates high school and post-secondary students about additive manufacturing technologies and design, providing them with real-world, hands-on experience. This year, teams designed and prototyped next-generation electric vehicles, with nearly 500 parts printed on Stratasys 3D printers.

The event also included the first competition for middle school students and saw 62 out of 93 students pass the Additive Manufacturing Fundamentals Certification Exam. This initiative is crucial for building North America's talent and capabilities in advanced manufacturing, fostering innovation and addressing future workforce needs.
