Stratasys announced on November 11, 2024, significant updates to its FDM® Fused Deposition Modeling and P3™ Programmable PhotoPolymerization product portfolios. These advancements are designed to boost customer productivity and reduce downtime in industrial additive manufacturing.
Key FDM updates include the Fortus FDC™ filament drying cabinet, which can increase F900 printer uptime by up to 2.7 times and reduce yearly labor hours by up to 50%. A new FDM® PC-ESD material for Fortus® 450mc and F900 printers was also launched, alongside expanded layer height options for Ultem™ 9085 resin in new colors.
For the P3 platform, Stratasys added over 30 new materials, including the Ultracur3D RG 3280 by Forward AM, a ceramic-filled material for injection molding tooling. These material expansions support a wider range of end-use applications across aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing segments, enhancing the platforms' production capabilities.
