The deal aligns with State Street’s strategy to increase its footprint in the rapidly expanding private‑markets sector, particularly secondaries, which saw more than $160 billion transacted in 2024 and is projected to reach nearly $500 billion by 2030.
State Street reported strong Q3 2025 earnings, with earnings per share of $2.78 and revenue of $3.55 billion, underscoring the firm’s financial strength that supports this strategic investment. The financial terms of the minority stake were not disclosed.
