Suncor Achieves Record H1 2025 Upstream Production, Refining Throughput, and Product Sales

Suncor Energy achieved an all-time high in upstream production during the first half of 2025, reaching 831,000 barrels a day. This represents an 89,000 barrels a day increase over the two-year period from the first half of 2023.

The company's refining segment also delivered record performance, with throughput hitting its highest first half in company history at 462,000 barrels a day. Refined product sales similarly reached a historical high of 603,000 barrels a day for the first half of 2025.

Alongside these volumetric achievements, Suncor demonstrated significant cost control. Operating, Selling & General (OS&G) expenses for the first half of 2025 were $6.46 billion, a decrease of $135 million compared to the first half of 2024.

Over a two-year period, from H1 2023 to H1 2025, OS&G expenses decreased by $765 million. This powerful operating leverage and record-setting performance across key metrics underscore Suncor's operational excellence and efficiency.
