On 14 October 2025, PowerBank Corporation announced that it had executed lease and power purchase agreements with the New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs (DMNA) for a portfolio of ground‑mount, rooftop and parking‑canopy solar power projects and battery energy storage systems totaling 20 MW DC. The agreements were awarded through a competitive bidding process managed by the New York Power Authority (NYPA) and will provide clean energy to DMNA facilities across the state. The portfolio consists of approximately 19 MW of solar photovoltaic systems and a 1 MW/2 MWh battery energy storage system. Individual systems will be located at various New York Army National Guard facilities and other DMNA properties, with construction slated to begin by the end of 2025. The clean energy generated will be sold to DMNA under long‑term power purchase agreements or, in some cases, offered to local residents through community solar subscriptions. This contract represents a significant expansion of PowerBank’s customer base into the military sector, diversifying its revenue streams and adding a stable, long‑term customer. The 20 MW of new capacity strengthens the company’s project pipeline and aligns with its strategy to deliver distributed and community solar solutions across North America. The deal also positions PowerBank to capitalize on policy incentives and resilience goals set by New York State, enhancing its long‑term growth prospects.
