SolarBank Corporation announced its plans to develop a 13.8 MW DC ground-mount solar power project, known as the Grandview project, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania on October 8, 2024. This project is part of a larger three-project plan totaling 24.8 MW DC in the state, marking SolarBank's initial entry into Pennsylvania's community solar market.

The Grandview project is designed to power an estimated 1,630 homes, providing residents, including renters, with access to solar energy without requiring personal panel installation. This expansion follows the Pennsylvania House of Representatives' passage of House Bill 1842 on March 26, 2024, which enables the development of community solar projects in the state, with the bill currently under Senate review.

SolarBank has secured a lease for the project site and is proceeding with permitting, interconnection, and securing necessary financing for construction. The company also issued a total of 41,707 shares to certain former and current directors and officers of Solar Flow-Through Funds Ltd. for outstanding directors fees, which were assumed as part of the acquisition of Solar Flow-Through Funds Ltd.
