SolarBank Corporation announced on February 11, 2025, an update on the development of two community solar projects in Skaneateles, New York, totaling 14.4 MW DC. These projects, located on industrial brownfield sites, have achieved a significant development milestone by receiving positive interconnection results through a completed Coordinated Electric System Interconnection Review (CESIR).

With the positive interconnection determination, the company will now proceed with the permitting process, which is already underway. These projects are expected to be eligible for incentives under the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) NY-Sun Program.

Upon completion, the projects are expected to power approximately 2,100 homes annually. SolarBank intends to commence construction following the receipt of necessary permits and financing, further expanding its portfolio of clean energy assets.
