SolarBank Corporation announced on March 4, 2025, an update on the development of its 7.2 MW DC ground-mount solar power project, known as the North Main project, in Wyoming County, New York. The project has successfully completed its Coordinated Electric System Interconnection Review (CESIR).
With the completion of the CESIR, the project can now proceed to the next milestone, which is the permitting of the project site. Upon receiving the necessary permits and financing, SolarBank intends to commence construction of the project.
Once operational, the North Main project will function as a community solar initiative, expected to power 850 homes. It is also anticipated to be eligible for incentives under the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) NY-Sun Program, contributing to affordable clean energy access.
