Service Properties Trust announced the appointment of Chris Bilotto as its new Managing Trustee, President, and Chief Executive Officer, effective March 10, 2025. Mr. Bilotto brings extensive experience from his role as an Executive Vice President at The RMR Group, where he oversaw acquisition platforms, asset management for hotel and senior living properties, and property development.
Mr. Bilotto also currently serves as a Managing Trustee, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Diversified Healthcare Trust (DHC). His appointment is expected to leverage his expertise in real estate investment and management.
He succeeds John Murray as Managing Trustee and Todd Hargreaves as President and Chief Investment Officer, both of whom resigned from their positions effective March 9, 2025. The company stated that these resignations were not the result of any dispute with SVC or RMR.
