Silvercorp Metals Inc. announced that the Constitutional Court of Ecuador delivered a unanimous decision on July 24, 2025, rejecting the final legal challenge against the environmental license for the El Domo mining project. This ruling definitively upholds the validity of the license, providing full legal clarity for the project's development.

This decision marks the culmination of judicial proceedings that began on June 5, 2024, with a constitutional protection action filed against the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Ecological Transition. The action was dismissed by local and provincial courts before the Constitutional Court's final rejection of an Extraordinary Protection Action and a subsequent clarification motion.

The El Domo Project is the first mining project in Ecuador to have conducted an environmental consultation aligned with the Escazú Agreement standards, a process now validated by multiple levels of the Ecuadorian judiciary. This legal certainty paves the way for a meaningful ramp-up in construction and is expected to bring significant long-term socio-economic benefits to the local community.
