On July 29, 2025, Inari Medical, now a part of Stryker, announced the launch of its next-generation InThrill Thrombectomy System. This system is the first and only purpose-built small vessel and arteriovenous (AV) access thrombectomy system designed to deliver fast, full luminal clot removal. The launch further expands Stryker's offerings in the peripheral vascular segment.
The second-generation InThrill Thrombectomy System is an 8 French over-the-wire system, comprising the InThrill thrombectomy catheter and the InThrill sheath. It is optimized to become the standard for AV access and small vessel thrombectomy, building upon a familiar platform. The system offers unmatched efficiency and clot removal capabilities.
Dr. Joshua Pinter and Dr. Anish Ghodadra of the UPMC health care system performed the first commercial case using the new InThrill Thrombectomy System on May 19, 2025. Tim Lanier, president of the Inari Division, stated that this latest innovation reflects a deep commitment to solving real-world challenges in vascular care, providing new tools and enriching work with physicians in the vascular space.
