This divestiture by Sysco allows the company to streamline its operations and potentially reallocate resources to core strategic areas. The transaction provides Sysco with cash proceeds from the sale of a business unit.
For Mama’s Creations, the acquisition is expected to expand its customer base and production capabilities, particularly with marquee retailer partners. The deal was financed by a private placement with institutional investors and a long-term credit facility.
