Sysco Canada has expanded its electric vehicle fleet by adding eight heavy-duty electric tractors to its operations in Victoria, British Columbia. This addition serves over 1,500 customers in the region, including restaurants, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions.
The company now operates over 130 heavy-duty electric tractors globally across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Sweden. This initiative is a component of Sysco's broader climate goal to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 27.5% by 2030.
The electric tractors produce zero tailpipe emissions, aligning with Sysco's commitment to environmental responsibility and its aim to source 100% renewable electricity for its global operations by 2030.
