The City of Seattle announced a new partnership with Talkspace on September 22, 2025, to expand virtual therapy and mental health services for local teens and young adults. This program will provide over 55,000 young people aged 13 to 24 with access to confidential, high-quality mental health support. Eligible Seattle residents can now sign up for unlimited asynchronous messaging therapy and one live video session per month, along with 24/7 access to Talkspace Go, a self-guided mental health program. The initiative is funded as part of a $14.55 million joint investment from Seattle Public Schools and the City of Seattle. This partnership addresses the urgent youth mental health crisis, with 40% of high school students reporting feelings of sadness or hopelessness. Talkspace's proven track record with schools and municipalities positions it to remove barriers to accessing counseling and support for Seattle's youth.
