Teledyne Micropac announced the TDOC8012‑04CC0, a high‑voltage optocoupler that delivers 12 kV isolation for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.
The new device features a compact footprint, backward compatibility with existing Micropac part numbers, and is certified to MIL‑PRF‑19500 and MIL‑PRF‑38534, with manufacturing lines that are AS9100‑certified and QML‑approved.
The launch follows Teledyne’s acquisition of Micropac in late 2024 for $57.3 million, a move that expanded Teledyne’s Aerospace & Defense Electronics portfolio and reinforced its focus on high‑reliability microelectronics.
The 12 kV isolation capability addresses a critical need for robust high‑voltage control in demanding environments; competitors such as Broadcom and TT Electronics offer similar products, but Micropac’s backward compatibility gives engineers a seamless upgrade path for legacy systems.
Mont Taylor, Vice President of Business Development at Micropac, said the product “provides a seamless upgrade path for legacy systems while meeting stringent MIL‑PRF requirements, enabling customers to maintain high reliability without redesign.”
The launch positions Micropac to capture growing demand in aerospace and defense, strengthens Teledyne’s high‑reliability segment, and signals continued investment in advanced microelectronics.
