Terex Corporation completed the sale of its Tower and Rough Terrain Cranes businesses to Raimondi Cranes SpA on November 3, 2025. The transaction included Terex’s manufacturing operations and facilities in Fontanafredda and Crespellano, Italy, and the North American Cranes service and support operation in Wilmington, North Carolina. The Franna pick‑and‑carry crane line remains with Terex.
The deal terms were not disclosed. Approximately 250 employees from the divested businesses will transition to the Raimondi Group. Raimondi aims to use the acquisition to expand its product portfolio and strengthen its North American presence, targeting $500 million in annual revenue by 2028.
Terex’s CEO, Simon Meester, said the divestiture aligns with the company’s strategy to reduce exposure to the cyclical crane market and focus on its more resilient Environmental Solutions and Materials Processing segments. The sale is expected to improve operational efficiency and free capital for core growth initiatives.
In its third‑quarter 2025 results, Terex reported net sales of $1.4 billion, a 14.4% year‑over‑year increase driven by Environmental Solutions. The Aerials and Materials Processing segments saw declines, and the company maintained its full‑year adjusted EPS outlook of $4.70 to $5.10.
The transaction marks a significant portfolio transformation for Terex, which also announced a strategic merger with REV Group and plans to exit its Aerials segment around the same time.
