Telos Corporation announced that it has been selected to provide services under the Missile Defense Agency’s SHIELD (Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense) IDIQ contract, a multi‑award program with a ceiling of $151 billion and a 10‑year ordering period that could extend through December 2035.
The SHIELD IDIQ covers 19 technical and engineering activities, including research and development, prototyping, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and more. Telos will focus on the cybersecurity and secure communications work areas, leveraging its Xacta platform and secure network solutions to support the MDA’s Golden Dome initiative, which seeks to modernize missile defense across air, space, cyber, and hybrid domains.
Telos’s Q3 2025 revenue reached $51.4 million, a 116% year‑over‑year increase, and its EBITDA margin climbed to 19.6%, the highest since Q3 2018. The new contract provides a substantial tailwind, adding a long‑term pipeline that could offset recent revenue growth volatility and support the company’s goal of accelerating revenue and profitability in its Security Solutions and Secure Networks segments.
The award strengthens Telos’s competitive position in the federal government market, where it already serves the Department of Defense and other agencies. By securing a share of the SHIELD program, Telos gains access to a broad range of classified and unclassified work, positioning it to capture future work orders and deepen its relationships with key defense customers.
Headwinds remain in the form of pricing pressure in some defense sub‑segments and the need for continued investment in advanced technologies, but the contract’s scale and duration provide a clear growth trajectory that management views as a key driver of long‑term value creation.
