Tenon Medical, Inc. announced on June 12, 2025, the completion of an initial case series utilizing its Catamaran® SI Joint Fusion System. The cases focused on enhancing stabilization of the SI Joint for patients undergoing lumbar fusion.

Dr. Andrew J. Trontis from Progressive Spine and Orthopaedics in Englewood, NJ, completed this initial series. The procedures demonstrated the Catamaran system's ability to immobilize and stabilize the SI Joint, providing added support at the base of a lumbar or thoracolumbar fusion.

This successful case series provides important clinical validation for the Catamaran system's expanded FDA indication. It showcases the practical utility and benefits of the device in complex spinal procedures, which is expected to support broader physician adoption.
