ServiceTitan announced on January 8 2026 that it is adding an AI‑powered Accounts Payable (AP) Automation to its platform and expanding its fintech suite with a new tap‑to‑pay mobile payment feature and an integrated financing waterfall that offers first‑look, second‑look, and no‑credit options with an approval rate of up to 94 %.

The AP Automation uses machine‑learning to link vendor bills directly to jobs, purchase orders and vendor records, automatically capturing invoices, performing three‑way matching and reconciling payments. By eliminating manual data entry, the system reduces errors, speeds up job‑cost reporting and frees contractors to focus on field work.

The tap‑to‑pay mobile payment capability, which was first introduced in ServiceTitan Mobile in July 2025, now allows technicians to accept contactless payments in seconds without additional hardware. Coupled with the financing waterfall, the feature gives contractors the ability to offer flexible payment plans to customers, driving higher close rates and improving cash flow. ServiceTitan Payments customers receive payments 40 % faster on average than non‑Payments customers, a benefit that the company attributes to the shift from card‑not‑present to card‑present processing.

“Contractors shouldn’t have to rely on disconnected tools to manage critical financial workflows,” said Rahul Hampole, Vice President of Product and General Manager of Fintech. “By integrating AP, Payments and Financing into a single platform, we eliminate friction in the field and give contractors greater control over cash flow.” The expansion is part of ServiceTitan’s broader strategy to deepen customer lock‑in and create new recurring revenue streams beyond its core subscription and usage fees.

The announcement follows a series of positive market reactions to ServiceTitan’s AI and fintech initiatives. Earlier in 2025, the company’s AI‑driven platform and partnership with Financeit were highlighted as key growth drivers, and the launch of ServiceTitan Payments was cited as a significant step toward an all‑in‑one operating system for contractors.

By embedding financial tools directly into its core software, ServiceTitan is positioning itself to capture a larger share of contractors’ financial operations, potentially boosting recurring revenue and strengthening its competitive moat in the trades software market.
