Tetra Tech announced the definitive agreement to acquire Providence Consulting Group Pty Ltd, a veteran‑owned Australian advisory and project‑management firm that specializes in defense‑related program delivery, systems engineering, and protective security.
The deal expands Tetra Tech’s Commercial/International Services Group by adding a team with deep expertise in defense agencies and a strong client base in the Australian defense sector, positioning the company to broaden its advisory footprint in the Asia‑Pacific region and enhance capabilities in resilient infrastructure and mission‑support services.
While the transaction value was not disclosed, the acquisition aligns with Tetra Tech’s “Leading with Science” growth agenda and its history of strategic acquisitions, such as the $691 million purchase of RPS Group in 2023 and the 2024 acquisition of LS Technologies. The move is expected to strengthen the company’s competitive position in higher‑margin, less‑competitive defense and infrastructure work.
Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech’s CEO, said the addition of Providence will advance the company’s advisory program delivery and expand its client base in Australia, helping customers support mission readiness and resilient infrastructure. Providence CEO Adash Janiszewski highlighted the cultural fit and the opportunity to extend support for Australian Defence across the Asia‑Pacific.
The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, and no closing date has been announced. Tetra Tech’s management expects the integration to accelerate growth in the Asia‑Pacific defense market and to reinforce its global advisory capabilities.
