Tetra Tech secured a £17 million contract with Portsmouth Water to design reservoirs, pipes, treatment plants and implement its WaterNet digital platform for leak detection and asset management.

The contract, which will be delivered over a three‑year period, expands Tetra Tech’s footprint in the United Kingdom and reinforces its position in the water and environmental consulting sector. Portsmouth Water serves more than 700,000 residents in Southern England.

The award represents about 1.3 % of Tetra Tech’s 2023 revenue of $1.5 billion and is part of the company’s strategy to grow its water and environment segment, which accounted for roughly 40 % of total revenue in 2023. The contract is expected to generate incremental revenue of approximately $20 million and support the company’s focus on integrated digital solutions.

CEO Dan Batrack said the partnership will help Portsmouth Water meet new regulatory targets for water quality and infrastructure resilience and will strengthen Tetra Tech’s competitive moat in the sustainable infrastructure market.
