Tuya Smart announced the launch of its new ‘Hey Tuya’ Super AI Life Assistant on December 25, 2025. The assistant is built on a multi‑agent collaborative architecture that allows it to provide proactive, intelligent assistance across home, office, and other daily scenarios, positioning Tuya as a full‑stack intelligence platform rather than just a connectivity layer.
The launch is part of Tuya’s AI‑first strategy, which has already seen 93 % of its shipped product categories equipped with AI capabilities by Q3 2025. The company’s Q3 2025 results showed total revenue of $82.5 million, up 1.1 % year‑over‑year, and a gross margin of 48.3 %. PaaS revenue was $59.2 million (up 2.4 % YoY) and SaaS and other revenue was $11.5 million (up 15.4 % YoY), while Smart Solutions revenue fell 14.6 % to $11.8 million. The shift toward higher‑margin SaaS services is a deliberate move away from lower‑margin hardware sales.
Management highlighted the strategic importance of the new assistant. CEO Xueji Wang noted that the company’s AI platform now powers 135 million daily interactions for global users and that the assistant will accelerate adoption of Tuya’s AI platform across its ecosystem. CFO Yi Yang emphasized that the PaaS and SaaS segments are the primary growth engines, with the assistant expected to drive further demand for these services.
The market reacted positively to Tuya’s Q3 2025 earnings, with the company’s stock rising 1.88 % after the call. Analysts cited the company’s sustained revenue growth, expanding GAAP net margin, and strong AI adoption as key drivers of investor confidence. The announcement of the new assistant reinforces the narrative that Tuya is successfully monetizing its AI capabilities.
Tuya’s balance sheet remains robust, with over $1 billion in net cash and no debt, giving the company flexibility to invest in AI innovation. The assistant’s launch is expected to deepen customer engagement, create new recurring revenue streams, and support the company’s goal of making AI the default for consumer IoT devices.
