The Brazilian Superior Court of Justice (SCJ) published a unanimous decision on December 6, 2024, rejecting a motion of clarification filed by Ternium's subsidiaries, Ternium Investments and Ternium Argentina, along with Tenaris's subsidiary Confab.

This decision confirmed the June 18, 2024, SCJ ruling that ordered the T/T Group to pay Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) an indemnification. The indemnification is in connection with their 2012 acquisition of a participation in Usiminas.

Ternium has stated its intention to file an extraordinary appeal to the Supreme Federal Tribunal, maintaining its belief that the claims are without merit. The confirmed obligation to pay represents a significant legal contingency for the company.
