United Airlines expanded its partnership with Bilt on December 4 2025, allowing MileagePlus Chase cardmembers to earn two miles for every dollar spent on rent payments through Bilt’s platform, up from the previous one‑to‑one rate.
The new arrangement caps earnings at $50,000 of rent payments per calendar year and applies a 3 % transaction fee when most United co‑branded cards—excluding the Bilt Mastercard—are used. Eligible cards include the United MileagePlus Gold, Platinum, and Infinite cards, as well as the United MileagePlus Business cards, all of which now earn the accelerated rate on rent transactions.
Bilt’s network of more than 5 million members turns rent, a large recurring expense, into a loyalty‑earning opportunity. By converting a predictable cost into travel rewards, United strengthens its loyalty revenue stream and reinforces the “United Next” initiative, which focuses on deepening customer relationships and monetizing loyalty assets.
The partnership is expected to increase MileagePlus engagement and drive future ticket purchases, giving United a competitive edge in the loyalty‑focused segment of the airline market. It also complements similar collaborations, such as Alaska Airlines’ Bilt partnership, positioning United as a leader in innovative rewards programs.
United CEO Scott Kirby has highlighted the importance of customer experience and loyalty in United’s growth strategy. The expanded Bilt partnership aligns with United’s broader investment in fleet modernization and technology upgrades under the “United Next” plan, underscoring the airline’s commitment to delivering enhanced value to its frequent flyers.
