AgEagle Aerial Systems (NYSE: UAVS) delivered the first two eBee X manufacturing kits to its Indian partner Vyom Drones on November 18, 2025, marking the official start of local production and distribution of the eBee X in India. The kits, supplied by AgEagle’s EagleNXT subsidiary, contain the flight‑control system, power module, and payload interface, allowing Vyom to assemble, qualify, and certify the drones under the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) regulations.
The partnership is designed to meet India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, which encourages domestic manufacturing of advanced technology. By producing the eBee X locally, AgEagle can eliminate import duties, reduce lead times, and lower logistics costs, thereby making the platform more competitive in defense, infrastructure, and commercial markets. The eBee X’s capabilities—high‑resolution imaging, autonomous flight, and modular payloads—are well‑suited to India’s growing needs in agriculture, mining, and urban planning.
While the partnership is a strategic milestone, AgEagle’s Q3 2025 earnings revealed a decline in sales and a net loss, underscoring the company’s broader challenges. The new Indian production line is expected to offset some of these headwinds by creating a new revenue stream and improving operational leverage. Management emphasized that the partnership “is an important milestone in our effort to enable India’s drone industry to meet the country’s growing demands,” according to CEO Bill Irby of EagleNXT.
In India, AgEagle competes with global leaders such as DJI and senseFly, as well as local firms like Aster and Aerial Solutions. The Vyom partnership gives AgEagle a foothold in a market projected to reach $30 billion by 2030, positioning the company to capture a share of defense, infrastructure, and commercial segments that are expanding rapidly.
The collaboration also includes comprehensive service and maintenance training for Vyom staff, ensuring that the eBee X units meet stringent safety and operational standards. This local expertise will support long‑term customer relationships and enable AgEagle to scale future product introductions in the region.
