EagleNXT announced that it has relocated its global headquarters from Wichita, Kansas, to Allen, Texas, and will begin building a U.S. production line for its eBee VISION fixed‑wing drone and MicaSense multispectral sensors. The new Allen facility will house manufacturing, engineering, customer support and marketing teams, creating a single hub for design, production and service operations. The plant is slated to open in May 2026, following a grand opening in April 2026.

The relocation and domestic manufacturing strategy are designed to streamline supply chains, reduce reliance on overseas suppliers, and lower logistics costs. By producing the eBee VISION and MicaSense sensors in the United States, EagleNXT gains a competitive edge in the defense market, where the Department of Defense prefers NDAA‑compliant, domestically sourced equipment. The move also positions the company to secure larger defense contracts and strengthens its regulatory advantage in a market that increasingly favors U.S.‑made technology.

EagleNXT’s financial performance in the trailing twelve months shows revenue of $12.64 million, with operating and net margins of –72.19 % and –151.7 %, respectively. The negative margins reflect significant investment in U.S. manufacturing infrastructure and ongoing R&D for the eBee VISION and MicaSense lines. While the company’s revenue growth has slowed, the domestic production capability is expected to offset future cost pressures and support higher‑margin defense sales.

Bill Irby, CEO of EagleNXT, said the U.S. manufacturing initiative “provides a strategic advantage for government and parapublic users and supports the administration’s push for technological dominance in the drone industry.” He added that the Allen location will leverage the region’s talent pool in aerospace, technology and advanced manufacturing, further accelerating the company’s transition from an agriculture‑focused business to a defense‑centric organization.

Investors reacted positively to the announcement, contributing to a rally in the company’s shares. The move is seen as a catalyst for future defense contracts, especially after recent sales of eBee VISION systems to NATO’s Kosovo Force and the U.S. Army’s tactical mapping drones. The domestic production line is expected to enhance EagleNXT’s ability to meet U.S. government procurement requirements and to capture a larger share of the growing defense drone market.

The relocation and U.S. production line signal a strategic pivot that could reshape EagleNXT’s competitive position. By aligning its manufacturing footprint with defense procurement priorities, the company is better positioned to secure long‑term contracts, reduce supply‑chain risk, and improve its regulatory standing. While the current financials show negative margins, the investment is aimed at building a more resilient, high‑margin business model centered on defense and security applications.
