Udemy, Inc. announced a partnership with Mila, the Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, to develop and deliver responsible‑AI training programs for its global workforce. The collaboration will combine Mila’s expertise in ethical AI research with Udemy’s AI‑powered learning platform, creating curricula that blend technical fluency with governance frameworks and ethical decision‑making.

The partnership aligns with Udemy’s recent AI strategy, which has seen the company invest heavily in AI‑driven features such as the Udemy AI Assistant and Skills Mapping. In Q3 2025, Udemy reported revenue of $195.7 million, flat year‑on‑year, and a non‑GAAP profit of $0.13 per share, underscoring the company’s ability to fund new initiatives while maintaining profitability. The enterprise segment, which serves more than 17,000 organizations and 82 million learners worldwide, has been a key growth engine, and the new responsible‑AI offerings will deepen that relationship.

The responsible‑AI market is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 17.9% to 48.4% over the next several years, driven by regulatory pressure such as the EU AI Act and increasing corporate demand for ethical AI deployment. By partnering with Mila, Udemy positions itself to capture a share of this expanding market, offering research‑backed training that differentiates it from competitors in the online learning space.

The new curricula will launch in January 2026 and are targeted primarily at Udemy’s enterprise customers, who require up‑skilling in AI governance and ethical decision‑making. The timing of the launch follows Udemy’s Q3 2025 results, which demonstrated strong demand for enterprise solutions and a solid foundation for scaling the new offerings.

"At Udemy, we see firsthand how urgently teams need AI skills that go beyond tool training," said Hugo Sarrazin, President and CEO. "Partnering with Mila enables us to equip organizations with the practical skills and responsible AI frameworks they need to adopt AI safely, strategically, and at scale. This collaboration reflects our shared mission to help the global workforce thrive in this new and rapidly accelerating era."

"This partnership builds on Mila’s growing efforts to strengthen responsible AI awareness, literacy, and capacity across all sectors," added Valérie Pisano, President and CEO of Mila. "Through our collaboration with Udemy, we are able to offer a global audience learning opportunities that develop not only technical capability, but also the ethical guidance, governance frameworks, and critical thinking skills needed to deploy AI."
