U-Haul announced on May 13, 2025, that its facility at 889 State Hwy. 76 in Branson, Missouri, has closed most services and converted to a remote self-storage site. The retail showroom is no longer operating, and moving equipment rentals are no longer available. This transition aims to optimize local operations.
As a result of the closed services at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Mount Branson, six Team Members were let go. The Mount Branson site will now be run by the parent store, U-Haul Moving & Storage of Branson, located just four miles away at 1487 State Hwy. 248. The parent store offers an expanded lineup of U-Haul services.
This operational change is part of U-Haul's ongoing evaluation of its network to better serve customers. The company sometimes finds it necessary to close or relocate services due to factors such as long-term strategic plans and proximity to other existing Company locations. The Mount Branson facility continues to offer self-storage services.
