U‑Haul opened a new 30,000‑square‑foot repair shop at 7000 Innerplan Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas, beginning operations on November 3, 2025. The facility occupies three acres of a 13‑acre parcel acquired in 2024 and replaces the company’s 50‑year‑old Little Rock shop that closed on November 2, 2025.
The new shop will create 24 jobs and will service regional fleet equipment that was previously handled at the 4809 W. 65th St. location. The expanded capacity is part of a broader plan that includes a three‑story retail, moving and self‑storage center and a warehouse for U‑Box portable containers.
U‑Haul Holding Company reported a decline in net earnings for the second and third quarters of fiscal 2025, with Q2 earnings of $186.8 million versus $273.5 million in Q2 2024, and Q3 earnings of $67.2 million versus $99.2 million in Q3 2024. The company cited increased depreciation expenses and reduced gains from equipment disposals as headwinds, while noting that self‑storage and self‑moving equipment rental revenues have risen.
Management highlighted the new repair shop as a key investment to improve maintenance turnaround and support the company’s ongoing focus on fleet reliability. The facility will also help U‑Haul manage its fleet of approximately 197,500 trucks, 137,200 trailers, and 41,300 towing devices, and supports the expansion of the U‑Box container business.
The opening of the new shop aligns with U‑Haul’s strategy to consolidate regional maintenance operations and invest in long‑term infrastructure in Central Arkansas, while the closure of the old shop created a net gain of 24 jobs in the local economy.
