Universal Health Services, Inc. celebrated the ribbon cuttings of two new freestanding emergency departments on October 3, 2024. These facilities, located in Bradenton, Florida, and Pharr, Texas, are nearly identical in design and operation.
Each 10,884-square-foot facility is equipped with six exam rooms, three rapid medical spaces, a full-service laboratory, and X-ray and ultrasound areas. The new Manatee ER at Palma Sola in Florida and South Texas Health System ER Pharr will provide around-the-clock critical care for adult and pediatric patients.
The construction utilized an innovative preassembled modular system, allowing for a six-week faster overall schedule compared to traditional methods. This expansion enhances healthcare accessibility in these communities and contributes to UHS's strategic growth initiatives.
