UL Solutions announced a collaboration with Fujitsu, a leading Japanese IT services company, to assist Japanese companies in navigating and adhering to Japan's newly developed climate reporting standards. This alliance combines UL Solutions’ ULTRUS software portfolio with Fujitsu’s local market expertise.
Fujitsu will leverage UL Solutions’ UL 360 environmental, social and governance (ESG) data management software, an offering within the ULTRUS platform, to help its customers meet evolving sustainability disclosure standards. These new standards, developed by the Sustainability Standards Board of Japan (SSBJ), align with the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation’s International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and are proposed for mandatory application in 2027.
This partnership addresses the growing imperative for strong ESG reporting for long-term business success in Japan. It aims to simplify complex ESG reporting demands, allowing businesses to manage data easily, meet new requirements, and drive data-driven sustainability management.
