U.S. GoldMining Inc. announced updated results from its metallurgical test work program for the Whistler Gold-Copper Project in Alaska. The program, which commenced earlier this year, confirmed that high gold recoveries in excess of 85% may be achievable. Previous metallurgical test work, which only included sulphide flotation, resulted in gold recovery of approximately 70%. The current test work, combining conventional flotation and a sequential leach process, improved overall gold metallurgical recovery to 85.3%, a 22% increase. The process flowsheet used in these tests employs proven technology to produce a marketable copper concentrate and direct production of gold doré through leaching. This simple yet effective flowsheet will be a key component of the ongoing Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA), enhancing the project's economic potential.
