Energy Fuels Inc. and The Chemours Company announced on March 18, 2025, the formation of a strategic alliance to enhance U.S. domestic rare earth and critical mineral supply chains. This alliance will capitalize on the complementary geographic and operational synergies of both organizations.
Chemours, a U.S. producer of heavy mineral sands from its mines in Florida and Georgia, will supply monazite concentrates. Energy Fuels will process these concentrates at its White Mesa Mill in Utah, which is uniquely licensed to handle diverse radioactive feedstocks.
The collaboration aims to increase the flow of critical minerals into the U.S. from allied nations, enabling increased domestic production of materials essential for clean energy, defense, and advanced manufacturing. This partnership builds on four years of successful collaboration between the two companies.
