Visa has entered a partnership with Lumanu, a payments and compliance platform that serves the global creative economy, to enable fast, secure payouts to creators and contractors in more than 195 countries and territories. The collaboration integrates Lumanu’s compliance and payment infrastructure with Visa’s global network, allowing creators to receive funds through Visa Direct, Visa’s real‑time global money‑movement network.

Lumanu’s platform has already processed over $1.5 billion in payments to more than 100,000 creators and contractors. The partnership addresses a well‑documented pain point: 87% of creators report payment delays of 60–180 days. By leveraging Visa Direct, the joint solution promises near‑real‑time settlements, reducing the average payout window and providing greater transparency and compliance oversight for both creators and their clients.

The deal extends Visa’s “Visa as a Service” (VaaS) stack into the creator economy, a segment that has grown to a $250 billion market. VaaS allows Visa to embed its technology into partner platforms, creating new revenue opportunities beyond interchange fees. The partnership signals Visa’s broader strategy to diversify its income streams and capture emerging markets that were previously underserved by traditional card‑based solutions.

Visa’s Q4 2025 earnings—revenue of $10.7 billion, up 12% year‑over‑year, and non‑GAAP EPS of $2.98—illustrate the company’s strong financial footing. The partnership is positioned as a new revenue stream that will complement Visa’s core payment processing business, aligning with the company’s focus on value‑added services and platform‑centric growth.

Mark Nelsen, Global Head of Product, Commercial, and Money Movement Solutions at Visa, said the collaboration “further invests in faster, compliant payouts worldwide” and that the data gathered will help Visa identify pain points and develop new offerings such as instant payouts and embedded financial tools for creators. Tony Tran, CEO of Lumanu, added that the integration “reshapes the payment landscape so that creators are no longer left waiting for their funds,” emphasizing speed, transparency, and dependability as key differentiators.

The partnership positions Visa to capture a share of the burgeoning creator payments market, while Lumanu gains access to Visa’s extensive network and compliance capabilities. Together, they aim to reduce payment friction, improve compliance, and unlock new growth opportunities for both companies in a rapidly expanding digital‑content ecosystem.
