VEON Ltd. announced on January 16, 2025, the appointments of Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz and Chair of Mobilink Bank in Pakistan, and Evgeniy Nastradin, CEO of Beeline Kazakhstan, to its Group Executive Committee (GEC). These appointments were effective January 1, 2025, in addition to their country CEO responsibilities.
These additions to the GEC are intended to strengthen VEON’s strategic alignment to its markets and enable Ibrahim and Nastradin to contribute further to the Group’s ambitious digital services-driven growth plans. They will also highlight the investor value potential of VEON’s key digital services and capabilities.
Group CEO Kaan Terzioglu stated that Aamir Ibrahim will bring experience from Pakistan operations as the Group sponsor for financial services businesses. Evgeniy Nastradin will support the evolution of VEON’s technology companies into market-transforming players, leveraging his leadership in creating QazCode.
