VEON Ltd. announced on March 19, 2025, that its wholly-owned subsidiary JSC Kyivstar has signed an agreement to acquire Uklon group, a leading Ukrainian ride-hailing and delivery platform. This strategic acquisition marks Kyivstar’s expansion into a new area of digital consumer services.
Kyivstar will acquire 97% of Uklon shares for a total consideration of USD 155.2 million. Uklon operates in 27 cities across Ukraine, facilitated over 100 million rides and more than 3 million deliveries in 2024, and expanded into Uzbekistan in 2023.
Group CEO Kaan Terzioglu stated that this investment is a statement of confidence in Ukraine’s digital growth potential and will allow for exploring the expansion of Uklon’s capabilities beyond Ukraine and Uzbekistan. The acquisition brings together two market-leading companies, enhancing Kyivstar's ability to offer digital experiences for millions of Ukrainians.
