VEON Ltd. announced on December 12, 2024, that its operating companies, Kyivstar in Ukraine and Jazz in Pakistan, secured two wins at the World Communication Awards 2024. The awards ceremony was held in London on December 10th.
Kyivstar received the Crisis Response Award for its exceptional work in maintaining telecommunications in Ukraine since February 2022, including the deployment of 2,300 power generators and 113,000 batteries. VEON's pledge to invest USD 1 billion in Ukraine's telecom infrastructure through 2027 was also commended.
Jazz was honored with the Best Operator in a Growth Market Award, recognizing its strong growth, a subscriber base of 72 million, and its successful portfolio of digital offerings in financial services, entertainment, and healthcare. These accolades highlight VEON's positive impact and dedication across its markets.
