On May 9, 2025, V-GREEN, the global EV charging station developer established by VinFast's founder, announced the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with four strategic partners to deploy approximately 63,000 charging ports exclusively for VinFast electric vehicles in Indonesia by the end of 2025.
This ambitious project involves a projected total investment of $300 million from V-GREEN and its partners, including Chargecore, Chargepoint, Amarta Group, and CVS. The projects are set to launch in May 2025, with the first stations scheduled to go online in June, focusing on key provinces across Indonesia.
V-GREEN will directly invest in 20% of the stations, with the remaining 80% implemented through business cooperation contracts, offering investors attractive terms such as a guaranteed annual return of up to 25% for the first three years. This massive expansion of charging infrastructure is crucial for meeting the increasing demand for VinFast EVs and facilitating Indonesia's transition to green transportation.
