Vipshop Releases 2024 ESG Report, Highlights Significant Emissions Reduction and Social Initiatives

Vipshop Holdings Limited announced the release of its 2024 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report on July 29, 2025. The report details the company's initiatives and progress in integrating ESG principles across its operations.

Key environmental achievements include a 43% year-over-year reduction in total greenhouse gas emissions and a 40% decline in emissions intensity. Vipshop installed solar photovoltaic systems across multiple logistics warehouses and Shan Shan Outlets, with its Guangzhou headquarters operating entirely on renewable electricity in 2024.

The company also promoted green packaging, shipping over 1.34 million parcels using original cartons and circulating reusable delivery boxes over 800,000 times. The proportion of new energy vehicles in its urban distribution business increased to 35% in 2024, up 15% year-on-year.

In terms of social impact, Vipshop introduced over 1,500 new brands in 2024 and collaborated with more than 200 brands for its 'Made for Vipshop' customized products. The Super VIP (SVIP) membership program was enhanced with over 100 new lifestyle-related benefits.

By the end of 2024, Vipshop had invested a total of RMB 768 million (approximately USD 106 million) in public welfare. Notable programs like V-Love Mothers provided support to over 277,000 single-parent families, demonstrating the company's commitment to community engagement.
