Viemed Healthcare, Inc. announced a definitive agreement to acquire Illinois-based Lehan's Medical Equipment for a base purchase price of $26 million. The transaction also includes an estimated $2.2 million in contingent payments and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025. This acquisition marks a strategic move to expand Viemed's market presence and diversify its service offerings.
Lehan's Medical Equipment, founded in 1946, generated approximately $25.7 million in net revenues and $7.4 million in Adjusted EBITDA in 2024. The company specializes in respiratory care, sleep devices, and women's health products, including maternal breast pumps. Lehan's operates three full-service locations in Northern Illinois and three sleep/CPAP setup locations in the West Chicagoland area, including one in Wisconsin.
The acquisition provides Viemed with a strong platform to enter the Chicago market and diversifies its product mix into maternal health. Viemed plans to leverage its operational expertise to grow Lehan's existing respiratory and sleep businesses, while also extending Lehan's women's health segment through Viemed's national payer contracts. The owners, Jim and Jon Lehan, along with over 90 employees, will join Viemed upon completion of the transaction.
