Vishay Intertechnology announced that its newly opened La Laguna inductor plant in Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico has achieved IATF 16949:2016 certification, confirming that the facility’s quality management system meets ISO 9001:2015 requirements plus the additional automotive customer‑specific requirements of IATF 16949.
The certification also includes ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 environmental and occupational health and safety certifications, and the plant holds LEED certification for sustainable construction, underscoring Vishay’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
The IATF 16949 certification enables the plant to supply its power inductors—including the IHLP® family of molded composite inductors—to automotive customers under the most stringent quality regime, reinforcing Vishay’s position in the automotive market and supporting its strategy to double global inductor capacity.
The certification milestone comes as Vishay reported Q3 2025 revenue of $790.6 million, a 7.5% increase from the $735.4 million reported in Q3 2024, and a narrowed GAAP loss per share of $(0.06) from $(0.14) year‑over‑year, while adjusted EPS rose to $0.04 from $0.08, reflecting improved operational efficiency and cost control.
By expanding capacity in Mexico and achieving the IATF 16949 standard, Vishay strengthens supply‑chain reliability in key growth markets, positioning the company to meet rising demand for automotive power inductors and to capitalize on its sustainable manufacturing footprint.
