Vistra Corp. announced a set of 20‑year power purchase agreements with Meta Platforms that will deliver more than 2,600 MW of zero‑carbon electricity from three of Vistra’s nuclear plants in the PJM region.

The agreements cover 2,176 MW of existing operating generation and an additional 433 MW of uprated capacity, bringing the total capacity of the Beaver Valley, Davis‑Besse and Perry facilities to 2,609 MW. The contracts represent the largest corporate customer win for Vistra’s nuclear portfolio and provide a long‑term revenue stream that underpins the company’s growth and capital‑allocation plans.

For Vistra, the deal confirms the viability of extending the life of its nuclear fleet and supports ongoing license renewal and upgrade projects. The long‑term commitment from a high‑profile customer also strengthens Vistra’s balance sheet and signals confidence to investors and regulators in the continued role of nuclear power in a decarbonizing grid.

Meta’s agreement aligns with its broader sustainability agenda, which includes a target of 100 % renewable energy for its data‑center operations. Securing a reliable, carbon‑free supply from nuclear plants helps the company meet the growing electricity demand of its AI workloads while maintaining its net‑zero pledge.

The addition of 2,600 MW of zero‑carbon capacity will increase the PJM region’s baseload supply, enhancing grid reliability and potentially supporting economic development in the surrounding communities. The uprates also demonstrate the technical feasibility of extending existing nuclear plants, which could encourage further investment in the sector.

While the financial terms of the contracts were not disclosed, the announcement underscores a growing trend of corporate entities turning to nuclear power as a stable, emissions‑free source of energy to support data‑center and AI operations. The deal positions both Vistra and Meta to benefit from the continued shift toward clean, reliable power in the United States.
