Vital Energy, Inc. closed on the sale of approximately 3,800 net acres in Crane and Upton counties in July 2025. This divestiture generated $6.5 million for the company.
The divested assets included five of Vital Energy's inventory locations within the Barnett formation. Importantly, the sale had no impact on the company's current production volumes.
This transaction contributes to Vital Energy's year-to-date non-core asset sales, which now total $27 million. The continued divestment of non-strategic assets supports the company's focus on its core Permian Basin operations and its goal of reducing net debt.
