Vital Energy, Inc. announced on March 6, 2025, the closing of a sale of non-core assets located in Reagan County. The transaction generated $20.5 million for the company, inclusive of transaction expenses. The divested assets encompassed approximately 9,100 net acres and contributed 1,300 BOE/d of production, with oil representing 12% of that volume. Importantly, these assets did not include any of Vital Energy's core inventory locations. This strategic divestiture is expected to reduce Vital Energy's asset retirement obligation by $8.4 million. The sale aligns with the company's ongoing efforts to optimize its asset base and enhance its financial flexibility for debt reduction.
