VivoPower International PLC’s electric‑vehicle arm, Tembo e‑L V B.V., announced a partnership with Australia’s leading EV consultancy Help Me Buy An EV (HMB EV) to accelerate sales of its Tusker electric pickup truck in the country’s fast‑growing light‑utility vehicle market.

The deal gives Tembo immediate access to HMB EV’s network of fleet operators, government agencies and commercial customers, and to its Centre of Excellence at Sydney Motorsport Park. HMB EV’s reputation for educating businesses and consumers about electric vehicles is expected to give Tembo credibility and help overcome the adoption barriers that have slowed its entry into the Australian market.

The partnership is a key milestone in Tembo’s broader strategy to commercialise its ruggedised EV platform. By leveraging HMB EV’s customer base and expertise, Tembo can move closer to the volume and revenue targets that underpin its planned SPAC reverse merger and a potential $838 million valuation. The win is therefore material to VivoPower’s position in the Australian EV market and to the company’s overall valuation upside.

Australia’s light‑utility vehicle market is projected to reach $11 billion in total addressable value, and the country is experiencing a rapid shift toward electrification. Tembo’s Tusker, with a range of 330 km to 400 km and a rugged design, is positioned to meet the needs of commercial and rural customers who have been underserved by internal‑combustion‑engine vehicles.

Chris Mallios, Chief Operating Officer of VivoPower and Tembo, said the partnership “provides a high‑visibility platform for the Tusker and a trusted education‑led ecosystem that will help us overcome the technical and regulatory challenges of the Australian market.” Mallios added that the collaboration will accelerate the vehicle’s commercial rollout and support the company’s SPAC plans.

The partnership is expected to accelerate Tembo’s sales trajectory, strengthen VivoPower’s foothold in a key growth market, and support the company’s broader strategy of expanding its EV platform and pursuing a Nasdaq listing through the SPAC transaction.

The deal positions Tembo to capture a share of the $11 billion Australian light‑utility vehicle market, while also advancing VivoPower’s goal of becoming a leading player in the global EV ecosystem.
