Wallbox announced on October 1, 2025, that its Supernova 180 kW DC fast chargers will be deployed in a new public charging network built by SureCharge Corp across Alberta and British Columbia. This project will establish up to 24 high-speed charging sites with 96 charging points along key travel corridors in Western Canada.
The initiative is supported by over $4.7 million in funding from the Government of Canada through Natural Resources Canada’s Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program, along with an additional $400,000 from the Government of British Columbia. SureTek Electric & Technologies Ltd., a certified Wallbox partner, will provide installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance.
Each site will be equipped with Wallbox's Supernova, designed for scalability and efficiency to support long-distance travel and optimize the cost of ownership for network operators. The first SureCharge sites are anticipated to go live by late 2025, starting with hubs in Red Deer, Lacombe, and Enoch Cree Nation, with rapid expansion planned across the region.
