Western Midstream Partners announced the appointment of Robert G. (Bob) Phillips as an independent member of its general partner's board of directors. Mr. Phillips brings over 47 years of extensive experience and leadership within the midstream industry. He recently retired as the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Crestwood Equity Partners LP, following its merger with Energy Transfer LP in November 2023.
Prior to founding Crestwood, Mr. Phillips held senior leadership roles, including President and Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Products Partners L.P., and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GulfTerra Energy Partners, L.P. His proven track record includes leading Crestwood's growth to over $7.1 billion in enterprise value through organic growth and M&A activities.
Mr. Phillips will serve on the board's Compensation Committee and Special Committee, bringing valuable perspectives to the partnership's strategic direction. His addition increases the general partner's board to eight members, with four independent directors, enhancing governance and industry expertise.
