On November 13, 2025, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts announced a partnership agreement with J City Group and Trinidad Hospitality Sdn. Bhd. to manage the new Wyndham Garden Kuantan, J‑City hotel in Malaysia. The ceremony took place at Ramada Suites by Wyndham KLCC.

The 361‑room property, slated to open in the third quarter of 2026, will be the tallest building in Kuantan City. Suites will range from 743 to 1,299 square feet, positioning the hotel as a premium destination for business and leisure travelers.

The deal expands Wyndham’s footprint in Southeast Asia and reinforces its strategy of adding fee‑per‑available‑room (FeePAR) accretive assets. By bringing the Wyndham Garden brand to Malaysia, the company aims to generate additional revenue streams and strengthen its franchise network in a high‑growth market.

Wyndham’s Q3 2025 earnings, released October 22, showed a 5% year‑over‑year increase in diluted EPS to $1.36 and an adjusted diluted EPS of $1.46, beating consensus estimates. Revenue of $382 million fell short of the $402.1 million forecast, reflecting a 5% decline in global RevPAR that weighed on fee‑related income. CEO Geoff Ballotti highlighted the company’s resilience amid macro challenges, noting record room openings and a growing pipeline. Joon Aun Ooi, President of APAC, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, underscoring Wyndham’s commitment to expanding its presence in the region.
