World Fuel Services, a World Kinect Corporation company, has entered into a 12-month agreement with JetBlue to supply sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for commercial air travel at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). This marks the first regular supply of SAF for commercial flights in the New York region.
The agreement commits World Fuel to provide at least 1 million gallons of neat SAF, with the potential for an additional 4 million gallons with corporate partner support. Valero Marketing and Supply Company, a subsidiary of Valero Energy Corporation, will provide the fuel, which is produced by Diamond Green Diesel LLC.
World Fuel will manage the delivery of the blended SAF through existing jet fuel distribution infrastructure to JFK Airport. This collaboration enhances World Fuel's ability to provide consistent sustainable aviation fuel and improves access to lower carbon fuels for its aviation customers, supporting the decarbonization of the aviation industry.
