World Kinect Corporation announced key executive promotions, with Ira M. Birns, currently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, elevated to President. Mr. Birns will continue to serve in his CFO role, maintaining oversight of the company’s finance functions, credit risk management, corporate development, and investor relations.
Additionally, John P. Rau, previously Executive Vice President of Global Aviation, Land and Marine, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Mr. Rau will be responsible for the leadership of all three of the company’s fuel, energy, and sustainability businesses.
Both executives will continue to report directly to Chairman and CEO Michael Kasbar. Michael Kasbar stated that Mr. Birns and Mr. Rau have demonstrated outstanding business leadership and operational capabilities, expressing optimism about their ability to guide the continuing evolution of the company’s global energy distribution and solutions business.
